Conferring Ceremony upon H.E. Ambassador Amatlain Elizabeth Kabua

On January 29, a Conferring Ceremony upon H.E. Ambassador Amatlain Elizabeth Kabua, Former RMI Ambassador to Japan of “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star” was held for her contributions to the strengthening of relations and friendship between the Marshall Islands and Japan. The ceremony was held in a solemn yet intimate setting, attended by about 70 guests including Iroijlaplap Michael Kabua, Hon. Kalani Kaneko, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Hon. Hilton Kendall, Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, Hon. Isaac Zakhras, Vice Speaker of Nitijela, Rev, Neijon Edwards and members of Nitijela, officials of the RMI government, Members of the diplomatic corps and family members and friends of the recipient. H. E. Amatlain Elizabeth Kabua dedicated herself to strengthening bilateral relations as the Ambassador of the Republic of the Marshall Islands to Japan from November 1997 to June 2005.
