Application is now open for the 2026 MEXT Scholarship for Teacher Training Students

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers scholarships to international teachers who wish to conduct research on school education at designated Japanese universities as Teacher Training Students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program as follows.

【Application Requirement】
Applicants must submit the following documents to the Embassy of Japan in RMI by 5:00 pm on Friday, February 13, 2026. Email submissions are NOT accepted, and the submitted documents will not be returned.

1. Application Form for FY2026
2. Placement Preference Application Form for FY2026
3. Certified grade transcript for each academic year from the last university/ teacher training school attended
4. The diploma from the last university/ teacher training school attended
5. Certificate of employment
6. Recommendation letter from the immediate supervisor at work (Recommendation Letter Sample)
7. Certificate_of_Health

*Application form will be accepted only if the form is filled in full with all the required documents attached.
 

【Schedule】
・Application Deadline: 5:00 pm on Friday, February 13, 2026
 Application forms should be received at the Embassy of Japan in the RMI, Delap, Majuro
・Examination: Wednesday, February 25, 2026
・Interview: Wednesday, March 4, 2026
