The Japan International MANGA Award was established in 2007 with the aim of promoting manga culture overseas and fostering international cultural exchange. This year marks its 20th anniversary. Each year, outstanding manga works by non-Japanese artists are recognized, with one Grand Prize and three Excellence Awards. Award winners will be invited to Japan by the Japan Foundation to attend the award ceremony, interact with Japanese manga artists, and visit publishing companies. Application Guidelines

How to Apply
Application Period: April 15, 2026 – June 30, 2026 (Pre-registration deadline)
  1. Pre-registration: Please complete the designated online form (Forms).
    (The link to the form can be found on the Application Guidelines page.)
  2. Submission of Works: After completing pre-registration, applicants will receive an email from the Embassy of Japan in the Marshall Islands with a URL for uploading their manga (PDF format). Please follow the instructions provided to upload your work.
